The Genesis
Essar began as a construction company in 1969, working on marine, ports and offshore contracts, gradually becoming one of the first few Indian companies to lay Offshore Pipelines for ONGC in 1982. With diversification of business activities, all the construction activities of Essar were consolidated to form the Essar Projects. Since then, Essar Projects has built strong EPC capabilities, while offering unique, collaborative, end-to-end projectsâ delivery models. The experience gained while executing mega projects for our Group companies, providing post-commissioning assistance during early stages of operations & maintenance and further, integrating the lessons learnt therein into basic design and execution philosophy for all new projects â including those of external clients â brings in the OWNERâS PERSPECTIVE to our EPC delivery.
In the past five decades, Essar Projects has delivered mega projects across various sectors, such as like Refineries, Tank Farms & Terminals, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Gas Gathering Systems, Pipelines (Oil & Gas, Water, Iron Ore Slurry), Offshore & Subsea, Minerals & Metals, Power, Ports & Jetties, Airports, Buildings & Townships, Water Systems and Sewage Treatment Plants.
